The temple Eikan-do is named in memory of the 11-century priest Eikan. It was founded in 855 by the priest Shinsho and have en official name Zenrin-ji, but is known as Eikan-do. The buildings is from the 16th-century against a mountainside linked by long covered corridors and stairways.
